Team Switzerland with surprising lineup strategy for MXoN 2026

Switzerland has unveiled its lineup for the 2026 Motocross of Nations, and while the names are familiar, the rider allocation has raised plenty of eyebrows ahead of the annual showdown in Ernée, France.

The Swiss squad will feature Valentin Guillod, Jeremy Seewer and Kevin Brumann, but with an unexpected twist. Guillod has been selected for the MXGP class, Brumann will race in OPEN, while Seewer is set to make a surprising return to MX2, the category he left at the end of the 2016 season.

The move could prove to be a masterstroke for the Swiss team. Despite spending the last decade competing against the world’s best in MXGP, Seewer’s experience, race craft and speed could make him one of the standout riders in the MX2 field during the weekend.

Combined with Guillod’s proven pace and Brumann’s consistency, Switzerland appears determined to strengthen its position among the leading nations and challenge for an even stronger result than last year.

The Swiss team finished eighth overall at the 2025 Motocross of Nations.
