Malcolm Stewart and Luke Clout emerged victorious on the opening night of the 42nd Supercross de Paris.
Stewart shocked the arena with a flawless sweep of all three SX1 races, while Clout claimed two out of three in SX2, putting himself in prime position for the Prince of Paris crown.
Racing continues tomorrow with the remaining motos starting at 14:25, and mx1onboard will keep you updated from the very first timed sessions.
SX1: Stewart Sweeps!
Against all expectations, Malcolm Stewart dominated the opening night from start to finish. The Rockstar Energy Husqvarna rider, who wasn’t widely considered a pre-event favorite, suddenly looks like the leading contender for the King of Paris title.

Stewart opened the night by winning an unusual Sprint 1 marked by early crashes from both Hunter and Jett Lawrence, adding plenty of tension to the race. But Mookie proved it was no fluke. In the next two races, he took control from the start and never looked back, completing a ruthless 1-1-1 sweep.
Reigning King Cooper Webb (Monster Energy Star Racing Yamaha) delivered in classic Webb style: tidy, calculated, and error-free. A smart 2-4-2 earned him second overall.

The Lawrence brothers experienced a rough start to the weekend. Hunter ended the night fourth overall (4-2-11). After crashing in turn two of the opener, he rebounded to second in Race 2, but a heavy fall in the whoops during the final raised concern. Fortunately, he walked off the track under his own power, and early indications suggest he should be fit to continue tomorrow.
Jett Lawrence had troubles of his own. He was taken down by Tom Vialle in Sprint 1 and finished eighth. In the Main Event, another mistake in the whoops dropped him to 14th.
These setbacks opened the door for Cedric Soubeyras, who capitalized with a consistent 3-6-4 to secure third overall.
SX2: Clout vs Bourdon
SX2 featured a two-man showdown all night long between Luke Clout and Anthony Bourdon, who fought for every inch of track in each race.
In the end, it was Luke Clout (Venum BUD Racing Kawasaki) who stood on top thanks to a commanding 2-1-1, making him the rider to beat heading into Night 2.
Anthony Bourdon (Motoblouz SR) opened the night by winning Sprint 1, but tough starts in the remaining motos forced him to battle through the pack instead of fighting Clout wheel-to-wheel. Even so, his speed was undeniable as he climbed from behind to finish second in both remaining races, securing second overall.
