The Grand Prix of Arnhem (Round 17) once again showed just how unpredictable the Motocross World Championship can be.
Jeffrey Herlings (Red Bull KTM) delivered a dream weekend on home soil, celebrating his 110th career victory with a commanding 1-1 performance that reminded everyone why he’s a five-time World Champion. The Dutch crowd went wild, but another rider stole plenty of attention: Lucas Coenen (Red Bull KTM). With two breathtaking charges through the pack, he claimed back-to-back 2nd places and cut valuable points from championship leader Romain Febvre (Kawasaki KRT).

Febvre saw his 14-race podium streak end, salvaging 3rd in race one but suffering a crash early in race two that left him 8th. Despite finishing only 5th overall, he still leads the standings—though his margin over Coenen has shrunk to just 31 points with three GPs to go.
In MX2, Kay de Wolf (Nestaan Husqvarna) was unstoppable once again in the sand, sweeping both motos for his third consecutive sand-track double in the last six weeks. It marked his sixth overall win of 2025 and his first in front of the Dutch fans. Meanwhile, Simon Längenfelder (Red Bull KTM) endured a tough weekend plagued by bad luck and inconsistency, dropping valuable points. His lead in the championship has now been cut to 15 points over De Wolf.
