Ricardo Bauer EMX125 Champ Uddevalla

The Austrian rider secured the 2026 EMX125 European Championship title with one round to spare after winning both motos at Uddevalla.

The penultimate round of the EMX125 Championship took place this weekend at Uddevalla, Sweden, where Ricardo Bauer delivered another flawless performance to mathematically clinch the title before the season finale in Turkey.

The Norman KTM Factory Rookies rider dominated Saturday’s opening moto from start to finish before backing it up with another victory on Sunday. This time, however, Bauer had to withstand sustained pressure from Sleny Goyer, who finished second overall with a 5-2 scorecard.

Completing the overall podium was Italy’s Gennaro Utech, whose consistent 4-3 finishes earned him third place for the weekend.

A Championship-Winning Season

Bauer’s EMX125 crown adds to the FIM Junior Motocross World Championship title he captured earlier this year in the Czech Republic, capping off a remarkable campaign for the Austrian youngster.

Over the course of the season, Bauer collected eight moto victories and took control of the championship at Round 7 in Portugal, where he claimed the red plate. Back-to-back perfect weekends followed, allowing him to build an advantage large enough to secure the title with one event still remaining on the calendar.

Battle for Vice-Champion Remains Open

While Bauer’s championship has now been decided, the fight for second in the standings remains alive heading into Turkey.

His Norman KTM Factory Rookies teammate Moritz Ernecker returned to competition after missing the previous round with a fractured tibia and fibula. The Austrian finished 10th overall in Uddevalla thanks to 13-10 moto scores and remains second in the championship.

However, Ernecker’s advantage over Goyer has been reduced to just 11 points, setting up an intriguing battle for the runner-up position at the final round of the season.
