Louis Vosters and Ducati renew for another three years in MXGP

Ducati will continue its MXGP project under the leadership of Louis Vosters for at least another three years. The Borgo Panigale manufacturer confirmed during the opening day of the Arnhem Grand Prix in the Netherlands that it has renewed its partnership with the American team.

During a press conference held on Friday, Ducati presented several updates regarding the future of its motocross project. The first was Vosters’ continued involvement, with the team principal set to oversee the Desmo450MX programme through the end of 2029.

Vosters will continue working alongside Romain Febvre and Andrea Bonacorsi, who have both already been confirmed as part of Ducati’s MXGP structure.

The Desmo450MX to remain unchanged until 2029

The second major announcement came from Paolo Ciabatti, Ducati Corse Director, who confirmed that the manufacturer does not plan to introduce a new generation of the Desmo450MX before 2029.

The decision reflects Ducati’s belief in the potential of its current machine. According to Ciabatti, the Desmo450MX still has room for further development and evolution before the time comes to introduce a new model.

Ducati therefore has a clear roadmap for the coming years: Vosters at the helm of the project through 2029, Febvre and Bonacorsi as its confirmed riders, and the Desmo450MX remaining the foundation of the programme for the next few seasons.
