Jeremy Seewer is set to make his return to the FIM Motocross World Championship paddock after securing a deal with Van Venrooy KTM, bringing an end to months of uncertainty following his early departure from Red Bull Ducati during the opening rounds of the 2026 season.
After competing in 229 consecutive Grands Prix since making his World Championship since 2014, the Swiss rider became one of the most notable absences from the 2026 campaign. His stint with Ducati came to an early conclusion after both rider and team struggled to meet expectations during the first six rounds of the season.
Since then, Seewer had been linked to several potential projects. He was spotted testing with Honda SR Motoblouz and later shared images of himself riding a Suzuki, while reports also connected him with a possible move to HEP Suzuki in the AMA Pro Motocross Championship. Ultimately, however, KTM has emerged as the manufacturer that will mark the next chapter of his career.
Seewer is expected to make his first competitive appearance this Sunday, July 12, at the final round of the Dutch Masters of Motocross in Halle. The event will serve as preparation for his return to MXGP two weeks later at the Foxhill Grand Prix.
With this move, KTM becomes the fifth manufacturer of Seewer’s professional career, having previously raced for Suzuki, Yamaha, Kawasaki, and Ducati. The 28-year-old former MXGP World Championship runner-up now begins a new chapter with the goal of regaining momentum and re-establishing himself among the leading riders in the premier class.
