The 2025 FIM World Supercross Championship is beginning to take shape. With the calendar already released, the season will kick off on October 18th at Stadium Merdeka in Kuala Lumpur—marking WSX’s first-ever appearance in Malaysia. From there, the series will travel across the globe with stops in Argentina, Canada, Australia, and South Africa. You can check the full calendar and dates HERE.
As many fans know, the WSX Championship follows a team license structure, with each team fielding two riders per class. Last season featured seven licensed teams, and it appears we’ll see a similar number this year, along with wildcard entries at each WSX Grand Prix.
The first rider announcements are starting to surface across social media, and some teams have already confirmed exciting signings.
BUD Racing Kawasaki has unveiled three of its four riders. In the WSX (450) class, Justin Hill returns to the French squad. In the SX2 (250) class, the team brings in fresh talent: five-time AMA Arenacross Champion Kyle Peters, who will ride a Kawasaki for the first since 2016, and Canadian Cole Thompson, who placed third overall in last year’s championship with two podiums while riding for FirePower Honda.
Rick Ware Racing has also confirmed its full SX2 lineup with no changes for 2025. Coty Schock and Enzo Lopes will return to the team. Schock was runner-up in the 2024 series with two race wins and two podium finishes, while Lopes placed fourth overall with two podiums of his own.
This is just the beginning—many more rider announcements are expected in the coming days. Will we see some big surprises on the entry list? Stay tuned.
