Jeremy Van Horebeek wins in Brazil | Round 3 Cuiabá

Van Horebeek Brasil 25 round 3

Belgian rider Jeremy Van Horebeek claimed a stunning win in the third round of the MX1 GP Brazil Championship, securing the overall victory in his very first appearance at Cuiabá.

Returning to racing after a three-month injury layoff, the former MXGP World Championship runner-up proved he hadn’t lost his touch. With two consistent second-place finishes, Van Horebeek’s skill and determination earned him the top step of the podium.

“It’s hard to put into words. I’ve just come through a tough period and only had five days of riding before this race. I have to thank the team — from the very first moment, they made me feel like part of the family. Honestly, I didn’t expect to win. It’s crazy. So many emotions,” said Van Horebeek.

Stephane Rubini Grabs the Red Plate

Meanwhile, his teammate Stephane Rubini overcame early adversity to take control of the championship standings. After being pushed to last place at the start of the opening moto, Rubini carved his way through the field on a slick, ever-changing track to finish fourth. In the second race, he got off to a strong start and made a decisive move from third to first, securing the moto win and the coveted red plate.

“After what happened in the first race, I knew I had to win the second. I’m happy to take the lead in the standings — now we’ll stay focused on the rest of the championship,” said the Frenchman.
