Glenn Coldenhoff Wins in Brazil | Round 6

Coldenhoff Brasil 26 round 6

Glenn Coldenhoff secured his second victory, which allowed him to narrow the gap to the leader from 31 to 18 points.

The sixth round of the MX1 GP Brazil Championship took place in Goiânia. The event featured a total of three races in the main categories. On Saturday, the MX1/MX2 race—which could not be held at the Castro event due to weather conditions—took place. Coldenhoff won the race, followed by Paulo Alberto and Enzo Lopes, who fought his way back to third place after suffering a spectacular crash in the first turn.

Meanwhile, Salvador Pérez started the day by claiming victory after finishing eighth overall, the best result in his category. The results of this race did not affect Sunday’s final overall standings, though they did award the respective championship points.

On Sunday, the usual individual MX1 and MX2 heats and the combined final were held. Coldenhoff continued his winning streak, dominating both races. The podium was rounded out by Lopes (2-3) and Jeremy Van Horebeek (4-2).

In the MX2 class, Salvador Pérez and Benjamin Garib split the heat wins, with the Chilean emerging as the overall winner of the event after breaking the tie in the combined final, where he finished ninth, followed by Pérez in tenth place. In the championship standings, the Spaniard maintains a comfortable 42-point lead over Henrique Henicka.
