Team USA has officially named its team for the 2026 Motocross of Nations, and the lineup heading to Ernée, France, on October 2-4 features several unexpected choices. During AMA Pro Motocross finale media day at Ironman Raceway, the AMA confirmed that Chance Hymas, Levi Kitchen and Cooper Webb will represent Team USA.
The selection comes after a significant development behind the scenes, with Star Racing Yamaha opting not to attend this year’s MXoN, removing several high-profile candidates from consideration and forcing selectors to look elsewhere.
As a result, Team USA will line up with Chance Hymas in MXGP, Levi Kitchen in MX2 and Cooper Webb in OPEN, creating a roster that blends emerging talent with proven experience.
One of the biggest storylines surrounds Hymas. The Honda HRC Progressive rider will make his Motocross of Nations debut and, remarkably, will do so in the MXGP class. It will be his first opportunity to face the world’s top 450 riders in international competition.
Kitchen is another first-time selection and his inclusion marks a notable milestone for American motocross. The Kawasaki rider becomes the first representative from Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki to race for Team USA at the Motocross of Nations since Blake Baggett competed in Lommel back in 2012.
Experience within the squad will come from Webb, who is set to represent the United States for the fourth time in his career. The former MXoN winner arrives during a pivotal moment in his professional future, with expectations growing that he will leave Star Racing Yamaha at the end of the season and join Team Tedder Husqvarna, the team he is expected to represent when racing in Ernée.
