Cole Davies has secured the 2026 AMA Pro Motocross 250 Championship after clinching the title at the conclusion of the opening moto of the season finale at Ironman Raceway on his eighteen birthday.
The championship marks the first AMA Pro Motocross crown of Davies’ career and his second professional title in the United States this year, following his triumph in the 250SX East Championship earlier in the 2026 AMA Supercross season.
With the championship now secured, Davies adds his name to a select list of international riders to have conquered the 125/250 AMA Pro Motocross division. He becomes only the sixth foreign-born rider to win the title, joining Grant Langston, Dean Wilson, Dylan Ferrandis, Jett Lawrence and Hunter Lawrence in the record books.
Davies arrived at Ironman holding a 14-point advantage over Levi Kitchen, but the title fight never truly came to life. The Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider endured a disastrous opening moto after a poor start left him buried outside the top ten during the early laps. His hopes suffered a major blow after a crash dropped him out of the points-paying positions, and a second incident later forced him out of the race with mechanical damage.
While Kitchen’s championship challenge unraveled, Davies delivered exactly the ride he needed. The Monster Energy Star Racing Yamaha rider remained near the front throughout the moto and secured third place behind race winner Chance Hymas and Julien Beaumer.
