Dutch Masters: Herlings back on Top | Febvre clinch the title

Herlings Lugo 25

The third and final round of the 2025 Dutch Masters of Motocross took place in Markelo, where Romain Febvre and Cas Valk secured the 500cc and 250cc championships respectively.

500cc: Herlings wins & Febvre takes the crown

Jeffrey Herlings claimed his first overall win of the year by sweeping both motos. The Red Bull KTM rider led the opening race from start to finish, while Romain Febvre charged through the field to finish second—enough to wrap up the title with one moto remaining.

This marks Febvre’s first Dutch Masters 500cc title and the second of his career, having previously won the 250cc crown in 2011. It’s also Kawasaki’s first title in the series since William Saris triumphed in 2015.

With the championship already decided, Herlings and Febvre continued to battle in the second moto. Once again, Herlings controlled the race from the start, with Febvre applying pressure throughout. Jago Geerts secured third overall with consistent 3-3 finishes.

250cc: Cas Valk completes a perfect season

Cas Valk completed a flawless campaign in the 250cc class, winning both motos in Markelo just as he had in the previous two rounds. The KTM Van Venrooy rider clinched the championship with a perfect score.

Kay Karssemakers finished second overall with 2-2 results, while Damien Knuiman rounded out the podium with 4-3 scores.
