SATURDAY HIGHLIGHTS

Lucas wins & Febvre DNF

Lucas Coenen (Red Bull KTM De Carli) began the weekend by extending his lead in the championship after winning the qualifying race. Although he led every lap from the start, it wasn’t without its challenges, as Tom Vialle (Honda HRC Petronas) stayed on his tail throughout the race, crossing the finish line just over half a second behind, though not close enough to mount an attack. Andrea Adamo (Red Bull KTM) secured a solid third place.

Rounding out the top five were Tim Gajser (Monster Energy Yamaha) and Kay de Wolf (Nestaan Husqvarna), in a race marked by several incidents in the midfield.

One of the key players was Rubén Fernández (Honda HRC), who, after securing pole position in qualifying, started from the front of the grid, but a crash forced him to fight his way back from the rear to a commendable sixth-place finish.

Maxime Renaux (Monster Energy Yamaha) and Mattia Guadagnini (Van Venrooy KTM) also capitalized on the circumstances, finishing seventh and eighth, respectively. Meanwhile, Jeffrey Herlings (Honda HRC) had to overcome a crash early on to salvage ninth place, while the final point went to Andrea Bonacorsi (Red Bull Ducati).

The low point of the day belonged to Romain Febvre (Kawasaki KRT), who suffered a mechanical failure and failed to score points for the first time this season.

Heading into tomorrow’s races, Lucas leads with a 22-point advantage over Herlings, and 28-point and 31-point leads over Vialle, respectively. Febvre, despite his retirement, retains fourth place, though with a slim 5-point lead over Gajser. Fernández sits in seventh place, five points ahead of Adamo.

Behind him, Guillem Farrés (Triumph Factory Racing) made a very effective start, gaining two positions in the opening laps to move into second place, a position he defended throughout the race. In the final stretch, he had to withstand pressure from the reigning champion, Simon Längenfelder (Red Bull KTM), who rounded out the top three.

Rounding out the top 5 were Valerio Lata (Honda HRC) and Liam Everts (Nestaan Husqvarna), both locked in an intense battle with Camden McLellan (Triumph). However, the South African was knocked out of contention after a hard crash on the pit lane straight. Although he was able to rejoin the race, he finished 24th, with no points and a compromised starting position for Sunday.

In the midfield, Mathis Valin (Kawasaki KRT) finished sixth, followed by brothers Janis Reisulis and Karlis Reisulis (Monster Energy Yamaha), with the former staging a remarkable comeback after a crash at the opening corner. Rounding out the top 10 were Kay Karssemakers (Kawasaki) and Julius Mikula (KTM).

Heading into tomorrow’s races, Langenfelder leads the standings with a 22-point advantage over Coenen (213–191). Everts remains in third place with 172 points, ten more than Farrés and McLellan, who are tied with 162.
