Horgmo clinched the MX1 title after at the final roun on the Normandy track at Rauville-la-Place.
Kevin Horgmo (Motoblouz SR Honda) secured the French Elite MX1 Championship thanks to the solid lead he had built over previous rounds, despite not being at full physical strength. A consistent 4-4 score was enough to seal the deal and claim his first title on French soil.
The overall win of the day went to Maxime Desprey (GSM Yamaha), who capped off his season with a dominant 1-1 performance—his second double moto victory of the year following his success in Plomion. His impressive form allowed him to leapfrog into second overall in the final championship standings. His teammate Adrien Malaval completed the year’s championship podium by finishing fifth at this final round.
The podium was completed by Alberto Forato (2-2) and Tom Guyon (3-3).
RACE 1 RECAP:
Kevin Horgmo grabbed the holeshot ahead of Forato, Herbreteau, Guyon, Desprey, and Malaval. A quick crash from Herbreteau shuffled the order, leaving the top four to battle it out. Malaval made a mistake early on, soon followed by Horgmo, who lost his early lead.
That opened the door for Forato to take over—until Maxime Desprey surged past with confidence and control. The GSM Yamaha rider cruised to the win, securing his third moto victory of the season. Forato held on for second, ahead of Guyon, Horgmo, and a charging Malaval who recovered strongly in the final minutes.
Starting the day with a 50-point lead, Horgmo’s fourth-place finish was enough to earn the championship title, marking the first major title of his career in France
RACE 2 RECAP:
Horgmo once again nailed the start in Race 2, but it didn’t take long for Desprey to overtake him for the lead. Forato settled into third, with Guyon in fourth, while Malaval dropped back due to a mistake early on.
Just like in Plomion, Desprey delivered a commanding 1-1 sweep, finishing ahead of Forato, Guyon, and Horgmo—who lost ground in the closing laps due to a small error.
