Glenn Coldenhoff: Race Wins with Five Brands

Glenn Coldenhoff Makes History… Again!

Last weekend at the MXGP of Matterley Basin, Round 12 of the 2025 FIM Motocross World Championship, Glenn Coldenhoff made headlines by securing Fantic’s first-ever race win in the premier class. The Dutchman held off intense pressure from Lucas Coenen to claim victory in the opening moto. While he finished 5th in Race 2, his 1-5 scorecard was enough to secure third overall—his fourth podium of the season—allowing him to retain third place in the championship standings.

It’s worth noting that although Coldenhoff also won the MXGP Qualifying Race last year at the MXGP of Arnhem, Saturday races are not considered official race wins in the record books.

This latest triumph adds another brand to Coldenhoff’s list of race-winning machines in MXGP. Since stepping up to the premier class in 2014, «The Hoff» has built an impressive résumé, winning motos with five different manufacturers across 11 years:

  • 2015 – Suzuki: His first-career moto win came at the MXGP of Latvia (Kegums), where he went 1-2 for the overall.
  • 2019 – KTM: After four years with the Austrian brand, Coldenhoff broke through with four moto wins, three of which led to overall victories.
  • 2020 – GASGAS: In just the third round of the season, again in Latvia, he delivered GASGAS its maiden MXGP race and overall win.
  • 2022–2023 – Yamaha: Collected four moto wins and one overall during his time with the factory Yamaha team.
  • 2025 – Fantic: Added a new milestone by delivering the Italian brand’s first race win in MXGP.

Coldenhoff’s longevity, consistency, and adaptability continue to stand out in a class dominated by younger riders. And while the overall victory at Matterley Basin eluded him, it seems only a matter of time before we see both the Dutchman and Fantic standing on the top step of the podium.
