After a difficult start to the season through the opening six rounds of the FIM Motocross World Championship, where Jeremy Seewer recorded a best moto finish of 12th place, Ducati and the Swiss rider have mutually agreed to part ways with immediate effect.
The factory Ducati MXGP team will continue its 2026 campaign with Andrea Bonacorsi and Calvin Vlaanderen, beginning with the Grand Prix of Germany at Talkessel Teutschenthal on May 30-31.
“Ducati would like to thank Jeremy, with whom the Italian manufacturer achieved two podium finishes in 2025 by taking third place in Frauenfeld and Ernée, and wishes him all the best for the continuation of his career,” the official statement reads.
What’s next for Jeremy Seewer?
With this decision, Seewer’s immediate future remains uncertain. Just a month ago, rumors linked him to HEP Motorsports for a potential move to AMA Pro Motocross, but considering the championship begins this Saturday, May 30, that possibility now appears highly unlikely.
From this point on, Seewer’s future becomes a major question mark. Ironically, his streak of more than 200 Grand Prix appearances with barely any interruptions may now come to an end — not because of injury, but due to a contract termination.
