ZXMoto officially announced its arrival in the MXGP World Championship during EICMA in Milan. Spanish rider Oriol Oliver and Norwegian Kevin Horgmo have been selected as the first two riders to join this new project, which will be run by Jacky Martens’ team.

Following a year of collaboration with Fantic, Jacky Martens will now take charge of ZXMoto’s MXGP programme. In the space of just three seasons, the Belgian team manager will have moved from Honda to Fantic and now ZXMoto, taking on another major challenge. The former World Champion will bring all his experience to the Chinese manufacturer, which has set itself the target of reaching the podium within the next three years.

Oriol Oliver

Oriol Oliver will embark on his second season in the MXGP class after a solid rookie campaign with GabrielSS24 KTM. The Spaniard managed to secure several top-ten finishes throughout the season, showing promising potential before an injury forced him to miss the final seven rounds.

Meanwhile, Kevin Horgmo has already established himself as a regular top-ten contender in MXGP. The Norwegian will now take on this new challenge after parting ways with the Honda Motoblouz SR team, joining ZXMoto as one of the key riders in the manufacturer’s debut campaign.
