Race Results: AMA Supercross Philadelphia | Round 15

Roczen Philadelphia 26

The final East Coast stop of the 2026 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship became the biggest wild card of an already captivating season as Mother Nature became the great equalizer for Round 15 of the Monster Energy SMX World Championship inside Lincoln Financial Field. An afternoon of clear conditions and cool temperatures gave way to intermittent showers for the night show, which saturated the racetrack and made both track position and a patient approach the key to victory. Amidst the most difficult and treacherous conditions of the season, the Eastern Divisional 250SMX Class turned into a championship celebration as 18-year-old New Zealander Cole Davies navigated a chaotic Main Event to secure his fifth victory of the year and clinch his first professional title.

450SX: Ken Roczen, new leader!

Ken Roczen delivered when it mattered most in Philadelphia, taking a hard-fought victory that elevates him to the top of the championship standings with just two rounds remaining. What began as a standard race day quickly turned into a test of survival, as heavy rain after qualifying reshaped the track into a deeply rutted, mud-soaked challenge. Roczen adapted flawlessly. After already setting the tone with a heat race win over Hunter Lawrence, he carried that momentum into the Main Event, executing a decisive start that saw him move ahead of both Lawrence and Cooper Webb in the opening laps.

From there, the race evolved into a high-pressure duel. Webb closed in during the final stages, applying sustained pressure, but Roczen—often vulnerable in similar late-race scenarios—remained composed and mistake-free to secure one of his most significant wins of the season. Behind him, Webb’s second place reinforced his consistency, while Lawrence salvaged a podium finish despite a costly fall that stripped him of second position mid-race. Further back, Joey Savatgy and Justin Hill capitalized on strong starts to secure fourth and fifth, respectively, in a race where track position proved decisive. In contrast, riders like Justin Cooper and Jorge Prado saw promising days unravel under the unforgiving conditions.

250SX East Coast: Davies clinchs the title!

Cole Davies capped off a standout season in Philadelphia by clinching the 250SX East Coast title with authority, sealing the championship one round early. The New Zealander entered the weekend with a clear objective—outscore Seth Hammaker by four points—and executed under pressure despite a chaotic Main Event.

Hammaker initially looked poised to delay the title fight, topping qualifying and winning his heat. His momentum continued with a holeshot in the final, but it unraveled almost immediately with a crash in the opening moments. A subsequent red flag offered him a second chance, resetting the race in staggered order based on the previous lap. Restarting from 11th, Hammaker mounted an impressive charge through the field to finish third, but the damage had already been done.

Davies, meanwhile, remained composed and efficient, securing the result he needed to lock in his fifth win of the season and, with it, the championship. The podium was completed by Daxton Bennick, who finally broke through after a long stretch of near-misses, marking his return to the top three since his early-career podium streaks. Beyond the race itself, Davies’ title carries broader significance, restoring New Zealand to the top of AMA Supercross—a milestone not achieved since Ben Townley’s triumph in 2007.
