Jeffrey Herlings and Camden McLellan emerged victorious at the penultimate round of the 2026 FIM Motocross World Championship in Shanghai, China.
Having already wrapped up the MXGP title one week earlier in Türkiye, Herlings continues to collect victories as if nothing has changed. The Dutchman completed another dominant weekend in China, securing his 124th career Grand Prix victory and extending his remarkable run of form heading into the season finale.
The Honda HRC Petronas rider topped the overall classification ahead of Romain Febvre and Tom Vialle, adding yet another trophy to his collection before the championship heads to Darwin, Australia, for the final round of the season.
In MX2, Guillem Farrés was unable to clinch the world title in Shanghai and will have to wait one more week for his first championship celebration. The Spaniard was beaten by Triumph Factory Racing teammate Camden McLellan, who delivered a strong performance to secure the overall victory on Sunday.
Despite missing the opportunity to seal the title, Farrés remains firmly in control of the championship battle. The Spaniard heads to Australia with a 48-point advantage and can approach the final round of the season with a comfortable cushion.
Farrés salvaged second overall by winning the final moto of the weekend and posting 4-2 results across the two races. Liam Everts completed the podium with a consistent 3-3 scorecard.
With one round remaining, Herlings continues his post-title winning streak, while Farrés stands on the verge of becoming MX2 World Champion for the first time in his career.
