Pauls Jonass Injury Update | MXGP of Germany

Jonass Germany 25

Kawasaki KRT rider Pauls Jonass endured a tough outing at the MXGP of Teutschenthal. The Latvian rider settled into a solid seventh place early in the first moto and held that position for most of the race—until disaster struck with just two laps to go. Jonass veered off track and suffered a heavy crash into an advertising arch, forcing him to withdraw from the event.

He was immediately taken to the trackside medical center and did not line up for the second moto. Further medical evaluations confirmed a broken collarbone and shoulder blade, an untimely blow with his home Grand Prix in Kegums just one week away.

«Crashed hard with 3 laps to go in the first moto while running 7th. Broken collarbone and shoulder blade. Waiting for further checks and news from the doctor. Another bump in the road, but I won’t give up!»
