EMX250: First overall win for Jake Cannon & Garcia limits the damage

The EMX250 class delivered another twist in Trentino, where consistency proved decisive. Jake Cannon (Bud Racing Kawasaki) secured his first overall victory in the championship thanks to a solid 2-2 scorecard, capitalizing on mistakes and misfortune from his main rivals.

Race two went to Nikolaj Skovbjerg, the Riola Sardo winner, who showed strong pace up front. However, it was Cannon’s consistency across both motos that earned him the top step of the podium, with Skovbjerg (4-1) and Fran Garcia (1-12) completing the overall top three.

Garcia’s weekend was a mix of highs and recovery. After winning Saturday’s opening moto, the Spaniard suffered a mechanical issue just before the start of race two, forcing him to come through from last place. A determined charge up to 12th was enough to salvage third overall and, crucially, retain control of the championship.

Despite the setback, Fran Carbonero still leads the standings with a 41-point advantage over Nikolaj Skovbjerg, keeping a firm grip on the red plate as the series moves forward.

EMX125: Dominant double for Moritz Ernecker

In EMX125, it was a perfect weekend for Moritz Ernecker. The championship leader delivered a flawless performance, taking both holeshots and controlling each moto from start to finish to secure a commanding overall victory.

With this result, Ernecker claims his third overall win in four rounds and extends his lead in the championship to 40 points over teammate Ricardo Bauer, who finished second overall (3-2).

The podium was completed by Sleny Goyer, who combined a strong second place in moto one with an impressive recovery ride in moto two—from outside the top ten to sixth—to secure third overall. He now holds third place in the standings, 12 points behind Bauer.
