While the 2026 season is still in full swing, preparations for 2027 are already underway, and SR Motoblouz Honda have officially announced the signing of Calvin Vlaanderen for next season.
A winner of two Grands Prix and the Motocross of Nations, Vlaanderen brings a wealth of experience to the French squad. The South African has enjoyed a steady rise through the ranks since beginning his career in his homeland, establishing himself as one of the sport’s leading riders after making the move to Europe.
Throughout his career, Vlaanderen has represented several factory-backed teams, including Honda HRC. Over the last four seasons, he has consistently finished inside the top seven of the MXGP World Championship standings, while also securing seven podium finishes in the premier class.
« I am super excited to join the team ! I saw what they did since a couple of years and I’m excited to be back on a Honda. For me it’s a big step to join them, I’m excited to start working with them ! i have a lot of experience, I have been racing as a privateer and in several factory teams, I know what is necessary to be at the top so I will bring this experience with me and for sure it will help myself but also the team to grow and hopefully to come close to the top five and podium results.”
