MXGP Takes a Break – But Herlings Heads to ADAC MX Masters for Historic 150th Race

After three intense back-to-back weekends of racing, the FIM Motocross World Championship is taking a brief pause. There will be no MXGP action on the weekend of June 14–15, but the racing doesn’t stop entirely – several national championships across Europe are set to take center stage.

Among them is the ADAC MX Masters, which will host its third round of the season and celebrate a major milestone: the 150th race in the series’ history.

To mark the occasion, the German championship will welcome a very special guest: five-time World Champion Jeffrey Herlings, who has been confirmed to compete in this landmark round. Staying true to his philosophy that “racing is the best training,” Herlings is taking advantage of the MXGP break to log more gate drops and maintain his momentum.

The Dutchman is coming off back-to-back GP victories, first at Teutschenthal and then at Kegums, where he swept the weekend with wins in both motos and the qualifying race. Herlings also has a long history with the ADAC series: he was crowned MX Junior Champion in 2008 and has made multiple guest appearances over the years.

Max Nagl (Dörr Motorsport Triumph Racing powered by Krettek), aims to challenge Herlings for the championship lead. His closest rivals, Maximilian Spies (Becker Racing), Roan Van de Moosdijk (Kosak Racing Team) and Noah Ludwig (KTM Sarholz Racing Team), are also good sand riders and aim for another podium finish in all three races.
