Francisco García signed off from the EMX250 Championship in the best possible way, dominating both motos at the final round of the 2026 season and further cementing his place among the class all-time greats.
The Spaniard swept the weekend at Round 12 of the championship, adding another perfect overall victory to a campaign that was defined by pure dominance. García ends his EMX250 career with seven overall victories this season, all of them achieved with moto sweeps, and ten overall wins across the last two years combined, making him one of the most successful riders in the history of the EMX250 class.
His dominance throughout 2026 was reflected in the numbers. The Venum BUD Racing Kawasaki rider claimed 17 moto wins from a possible 24, building a championship lead large enough to secure the title one round before the finale.
Despite already having the championship wrapped up, García showed no signs of easing off at the final round. He controlled both races from the front, quickly moving into the lead before pulling away from the field and comfortably managing the races all the way to the checkered flag.
The second step of the podium went to teammate Jake Cannon, with the Australian also securing the EMX250 runner-up position in the championship. Nicolai Skovbjerg completed the overall podium for SixtySeven Husqvarna after posting 3-4 finishes across the two motos.

For García, however, the spotlight belonged entirely to him. After two seasons at the front of the EMX250 field, the newly crowned European Champion leaves the category having completed one of the most dominant campaigns in recent memory and with his sights firmly set on the next step of his career with Kawasaki KRT in the MX2 World Championship.
