Team Netherlands 2026 Motocross of Nations Team

Team Netherlands MXoN

The 2019 champions will be aiming for a second Chamberlain Trophy on October 3 and 4 in Enrée, France, with a strong trio. As expected, Jeffrey Herlings and Kay de Wolf were selected. The team’s wild card was the MX2 spot. After weighing several options, the federation ultimately settled on Roan van de Moosdijk, who will “step down” to a KTM 250.

Jeffrey Herlings (Honda HRC Petronas) needs no introduction. The current leader of the MXGP Motocross World Championship will represent his country for the fourteenth time. Strategically, the five-time world champion will compete in the OPEN class, while Kay de Wolf (Neestan Husqvarna) will race in MXGP.

Roan is enjoying a strong season with multiple top-10 results in the MXGP class. On top of that, he claimed the title in the highly competitive German ADAC MX Masters championship last weekend.

Ahead of the MXoN in early October, Herlings and De Wolf still have a busy race schedule with major opportunities for success. For Jeffrey, as mentioned, that means a World Championship title. Kay de Wolf still has podium opportunities across the final three GPs of the season. Roan, meanwhile, will be fully focused on the MXoN throughout September.
