SX1: Wilson Sweeps!

Before the gates dropped, news broke that Nathan Crawford (KTM) and Matt Moss (Kawasaki) would miss the event due to injuries sustained during practice sessions weeks before.

When racing began, Dean Wilson (Quad Lock Honda) wasted no time asserting himself. The former SX1 champion dominated the first final from start to finish, while Cedric Soubeyras (Boost Mobile Honda Racing) impressed in second. Luke Clout (Penrite Empire Kawasaki) recovered from an early crash to secure third.

In Final 2, Wilson charged from outside the top five, overtaking Clout on lap four before pulling away for another convincing win. Clout tried to respond late in the race but had to settle for second, as Aaron Tanti rounded out the top three ahead of Soubeyras.

Wilson’s perfect 1-1 scoreline earned him the overall victory, followed by Clout (3-2) and Soubeyras (2-4) in third on his AUSX debut.

SX2: Lux Turner’s dream debut

American rider Lux Turner enjoyed a dream start to his AUSX career — and his debut with the CDR Monster Energy Yamaha team.

The first SX2 Final saw early drama when Shane McElrath (Quad Lock Honda Racing) and Olander tangled in the opening corner and were forced out. Turner capitalized, charging through the pack to take an impressive win ahead of Alex Larwood and Wilson Todd, who applied late pressure.
