After a week off, the FIM World Supercross Championship is back in action this Saturday, November 29, as the series heads to the Cbus Super Stadium in Gold Coast, Australia. And trust me, this round has everything you’d want: big storylines, big names, big surprises… and maybe even a championship twist.
WILD WILDCARDS!
The entry list is absolutely stacked again. Haiden Deegan returns for his second WSX appearance after making his international debut in Argentina, ready to mix it up in SX1. Reigning WSX champ Eli Tomac is also back for another cameo on the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing and fresh off a big win in Vancouver. And if that wasn’t enough, Cooper Webb, the current AMA Supercross champion, is finally set to make his WSX debut. This field is no joke.S
Ken Roczen Last Grand Prix?
But the storyline everyone is buzzing about is the red plate. Or rather… the red plate leaving. Yep, Ken Roczen has confirmed that Australia will be his final WSX round of the year.

Roczen explained to Lewis Phillips of Vital MX that although his original contract was for the full season, WSX ultimately wanted him at only the first three events. Still, he made it clear that he’d be open to racing Sweden and South Africa if the promoters call him back. Until then, the title fight immediately shifts toward Jason Anderson, Christian Craig and Joey Savatgy — all still very much in the hunt and ready to capitalize once Roczen steps aside.
SX2 Battle: Can Anyone Stop Max Anstie?
The question heading into Gold Coast is the same one fans have been asking since Argentina. The GSM Yamaha powered by Star Racing rider has been flawless so far, winning all six races through the first two rounds.

Rick Ware Racing teammates Coty Schock and Enzo Lopes look like the strongest candidates to finally break the streak, while reigning champ Shane McElrath desperately needs a bounce-back performance after a tough night in Canada dropped him from second to fourth in the standings.
In other news: Kelana Humphrey has signed on with Stark Future as a fill-in for Lance Kobusch, who will miss the remainder of the season. No details have been released regarding Kobusch’s absence.
