Who is Racing West Coast AMA Supercross in 2026?

Deegan costa oeste 26

With the 250SX West Coast Championship set to kick off on January 10 alongside the opening round of the 2026 AMA Supercross season in Anaheim, the focus is already shifting to one of the key preseason questions: who will line up on each coast in the highly competitive 250 class?

As every year, rider allocation between East and West remains a moving target until the final weeks before the opener. While the picture is not yet fully defined, several major names are already confirmed for the West Coast, with others still pending official announcements. As usual, this outlook is subject to change and will be updated as teams finalize their lineups.

Star Racing Yamaha

  • Haiden Deegan #1
  • Max Anstie #61
  • Michael Mosiman #23 (Expected)

Haiden Deegan returns to defend his West Coast crown and will once again anchor the Star Racing Yamaha effort. The reigning champion is entering what is expected to be his final full 250SX season before making the permanent move to the premier class in AMA Pro Motocross. Lining up alongside him is Max Anstie, fresh off a dominant Supercross World Championship campaign and widely regarded as Deegan’s main rival on this coast. Michael Mosiman is expected to complete the lineup, although his participation has yet to be officially confirmed.

Honda HRC

  • Chance Hymas #29

Chance Hymas is set to make his West Coast debut after spending his first three professional Supercross seasons on the East Coast. At this stage, he may be Honda HRC’s sole representative in the 250SX division, as Jo Shimoda is expected to miss the entire Supercross season due to a back injury sustained in late November. Honda has indicated it does not plan to seek a replacement for Shimoda.

Rockstar Energy Husqvarna

  • Ryder DiFrancesco #34

Ryder DiFrancesco will contest his third consecutive West Coast campaign, this time marking his debut with Rockstar Energy Husqvarna. The young prospect continues his pursuit of a first professional podium, now under a new structure and with increased expectations.

Triumph Factory Racing

  • Deacon Denno #199 (Expected)

Triumph has confirmed that Jordon Smith will step up to the 450 class, although his debut will be delayed until round six due to injury. Austin Forkner will substitute for Smith in 450SX before returning to the 250SX East Coast alongside Jalek Swoll. As things stand, Triumph does not plan to field riders on the West Coast, but there is a possibility that Deacon Denno could make his professional debut in Anaheim, pending final confirmation.

Pro Circuit Kawasaki

As is often the case, Mitch Payton’s squad remains one of the biggest question marks. Historically among the last teams to confirm rider distribution, current indications suggest Levi Kitchen and Cameron McAdoo will represent Pro Circuit on the West Coast, though no official announcement has been made.
