Dirt Store Triumph secure the MX2 title at the ACU British Motocross Championship during the final round in Lyng. Tommy Searle overcame adversity to not only take the title but deliver Triumph Motorcycles their first ever national motocross title in the UK aboard the TF 250-X, in their inaugural year in British motocross racing!

The final round of the British Motocross Championship saw Tommy Searle deliver a masterclass in experience and composure. He entered the weekend 29 points ahead of rival Charlie Heyman, but a DNF in the opening race saw his advantage evaporate. Despite the setback, Searle delivered a champion’s ride in race two, steering clear of the carnage to cross the line in fifth and, most importantly, etch his name into the history books as not only the 2025 MX2 champion but also Triumph Motorcycles first British Champion in their first year of competing in the British Motocross Championship.

Triumph is the first major motorcycle manufacturer – and the only British Manufacturer – to secure a British Motocross Championship title in the modern era in its debut year of competition, marking a truly historic milestone for the sport.

It’s fair to say Tommy’s season has been anything but straightforward. From missing a round after breaking vertebrae in Abu Dhabi to suffering a DNF at the worst possible time, the veteran overcame every obstacle to keep his title hopes alive and ultimately triumphed against some of the fastest and youngest riders in the UK.

Tommy Searle: ‘Well what an awesome year! I knew from that very first ride on the Triumph TF 250-X that it was a race winning bike! I’ve raced seven of the eight rounds as I missed one with a broken back without a mistake. I have taken three overall wins and been on the podium for the the others, right up until this last one where I had to focus on bringing it home! It has not been easy as I am getting older and after the injury mid-season I’ve not spent as much time on the bike outside of racing but we got it done! Thanks to all involved, this one was for the whole Dirt Store Team and for Triumph Motorcycles. The team have given me everything I needed to do my bit – I couldn’t have asked for more!’
