According to Team Manager Heat Harrison, Phoenix Racing Honda announced that the team will sit out the outdoor rounds of the 2023 Pro Motocross season.

Coty Schock is going to focus on healing up from a nagging injury, while Rookie of the Year winner Caden Braswell parted ways with the team.

On the other hand, a good portion of the rooster will be moving to the WSX series. Fresh 4th-time Arenacross Champion Kyle Peters will be joining Honda NILS to race in the SX2 class. Jace Owen and Cullin Park were also on board the WSX series, but there is no team confirmation yet.

With the arrival of Peters, Owen, and Park, the American riders involved in the SX2 class of the WSX series now extend to five as current champ Shane McElrath (RWR Racing) and Dilan Schwartz (Pipes Motosport) are already signed up for the championship.
