Romain Febvre, Tom Vialle and Maxime Renaux led France to the top of the 76th edition of the Motocross of Nations in front of its home crowd in Ernée. It was the seventh victory of France in the history of the MXoN and the second occasion that they did in Ernée like in 2015.
Meanwhile, Australia finished 2nd with a strong moto win from Jett Lawrence in the final race, as Italy sailed a surprise performance by rounding the podium in third with rookie Andrea Bonacorsi making his 450 debut in the OPEN class.
Romain Febvre and Tom Vialle put France on top of the leaderboard from the beginning as they went 1-8. Vialle was the best MX2 rider on the field. Moments later Vialle put another strong performance along Maxime Renaux, this time “Les Bleus” went 1-2 with Renaux topping the MX2 + OPEN race. Once again, Vialle was the best MX2 rider and gave his country a solid advantage over Australia and Germany.
