Grenoble host the last two rounds of the SX Tour series, where Greg Aranda and Maxime Desprey, both riders from the GSM Yamaha team, wrapped up back-to-back the SX1 and SX2 titles, respectively.
On Friday night, Aranda won the Main Event and the title as well. However, he keeps the momemunt by winning on Saturday. Aranda won six out of seven rounds, including every single heat race he competed.
Nothing resisted the Aranda bulldozer in 2024 by chaining pole positions, fastest laps in the race and victories in the final. Satisfaction was clearly displayed on his face as he lifted the grail on the podium from the top step.
Maxime Desprey also won both nights en route to defend the SX2 title. Desprey was defeated in two ocassions by Calvin Fonvieille during the championship. Next year, Desprey will move up to the SX1 class.
Arriving in Grenoble as leader with a large lead, Maxime Desprey could have done the bare minimum and taken no risks to win a new crown. The GSM Yamaha rider still pushed as he imposes a code of honour and a formidable will to win. He left no crumbs to his opponents by outrageously dominating both evenings.
With his two consecutive titles, Desprey should return to the SX1 category in 2025 as well as his teammate Greg Aranda , which reserves a high-flying fight between these two No. 1s in Supercross on the continent
