A spectacular Friday night at the legendary Westfalenhalle marked the start of the 41st edition of the ADAC Supercross Dortmund. Fans experienced a rollercoaster of emotions: while a dramatic crash on the penultimate lap decided the winner of the SX1 final.
The action will continue this Saturday. You can find the schedule and link to follow the race live below in this post.
SX1: Maxime Desprey Takes the first Final
The SX1 Final of the 41st ADAC Supercross Dortmund 2026 on Friday night was incredibly exciting. Luke Clout secured the start with a perfect holeshot, closely followed by Maxime Desprey, while Gregory Aranda took third and Cedric Soubeyras in fourth.
For Aranda, even reaching the final was a struggle: after crashing in the first qualifying race, he had to go through the long road of the LCQ to qualify.
However, in the main race, he attacked immediately, taking the lead on lap eight and comfortably extending it to almost seven seconds. But then came another setback: on the penultimate lap, Aranda suffered another crash in the challenging washboard section. Desprey inherited the lead and secured the victory after 18 laps. On the final lap, Jordi Tixier managed to overtake the early leader, Luke Clout, and secure third place behind Aranda.
In the ADAC SX Cup Standings, Clout leads the series by a slim margin of 1 point over Soubeyras.
SX2: Calvin Fonvieille Wins and Takes the Red Plate
France’s Calvin Fonvieille celebrated a dominant victory from start to finish on Friday night. After securing the holeshot, he controlled the 15-lap race with ease, claiming his second win of the day in Dortmund.
Hardy Muñoz made history: he was the first Chilean rider to finish on the podium in the more than 40-year history of the ADAC Supercross Dortmund. After being seventh on the first lap, he climbed to second place with a strong comeback. The podium was completed by Frenchman Mickael Lamarque who also staged an impressive comeback after a difficult start.
Fonvieille now lead the ADAC SX Cup with 11 points over Jules Pietre, who had a diffictult night and finished 11th.
