Championship leaders Eli Tomac and Shane McElrath took the honors at the second round of the World Supercross Championship at Perth, Australia. The action will continue Tomorrow at the same venue for the penultimate round.
So far, Tomac extend the championship lead to 33 points over Ken Roczen after a perfect 1-1-1-1. The CDR Yamaha won the three WSX races as well as the SuperFinal with ease. Roczen (2-3-2-2) and Joey Savatgy (4-2-3-4) filled the podium.
SX2: McELRATH ON TOP!
In the SX2 class Shane McElrath continue with his dominance with another almost-perfect day on which the FirePower Honda rider scored a 2-1-1 and a sixth in the SuperFinal as the best of his class. The American now lead the standings by 30-point of advantage over Brazilian Enzo Lopes, who finished 2nd overall with a 3-2-3 and a seventh in the SuperFinal.
Race 1 winner and Lopes teammate, Coty Shock, rounded the podium via 1-5-2 and a eight in the SuperFinal.
