Austin Politelli takes overall victory in Idaho
The 2025–26 AMA Arenacross Championship returned to action after a two-month break, hosting Round 2 at the Ford Idaho Center in Boise, where Austin Politelli (MCR Honda) claimed the overall win.
Politelli set the tone early by grabbing the holeshot in Main Event 1 and pulling away to a controlled victory. Cole Thompson finished second, while red-plate holder Ryan Breece recovered to third after getting caught up in a first-turn crash.
In Main Event 2, Robbie Wageman jumped out front and successfully managed pressure from Breece for most of the race. Politelli charged forward from the pack to finish third, which proved enough to secure the overall win on the night. Breece’s 3–2 finishes earned him second overall, while Wageman rounded out the podium thanks to his 5–1 scorecard.
Despite missing out on the win, Ryan Breece continues to lead the championship standings with 60 points. He is closely followed by Team Solitaire Yamaha teammates Cole Thompson (58) and Robbie Wageman (56). Politelli’s strong result in Boise moves him up to fifth in the standings with 46 points after a difficult opening round.
The AMA Arenacross series resumes on January 3 in Loveland, Colorado, as the title fight continues to tighten.
