Valerio Lata and Alessandro Lupino took the wins at the final round of the Italian Prestige Championship in Arco di Trento. Lata delivered a stunning victory on his MX1 debut, while Lupino made history by giving Ducati its first-ever MX2 win.
MX1: Valerio Lata wins on his 450 debut
Already crowned MX2 champion, Valerio Lata stepped up to the premier class and immediately stamped his authority.
The HRC rider dominated the opening moto after passing Nicholas Lapucci on lap one. In Race 2, he looked set to double up until a last-lap crash handed victory to Jan Pancar. Lata still salvaged second, enough to secure the overall on his first MX1 appearance. Pancar (4-1) and reigning champion Isak Gifting (2-3) joined him on the podium.
MX2: Lupino makes history, again!
Just a year after giving Ducati their maiden MX1 triumph, Alessandro Lupino added another milestone by clinching the brand’s first win in MX2 with the Desmo 250. After charging to second behind Andrea Zanotti in Moto 1, Lupino capitalized on a strong start in the second race to overtake Zanotti and secure the overall (2-1). Zanotti finished runner-up (1-2), with Brian Hsu taking third thanks to a consistent 3-3 scorecard.
