Perfect Saturday for GasGas riders Jorge Prado and Simon Langenfelder in the MXGP of Finland

MXPG Finland 2023, Vantaa Rider: Prado

Both GasGas riders win the Qualifying Races in their respective classes with wire-to-wire performances under muddy conditions on the MXGP of Finland, in Vaanta, for Round 14.

Jorge Prado started on top after he grabbed the holeshot. But instead of pulling away from the rest of the pack, he was under Febvre´s pressure almost the entire race. However, the Spaniard holds the position and takes his ninth Qualifying Race win.

Ruben Fernandez rode third from the beginning while Glenn Coldenhoff snatched the fourth spot from Jeremy Seewer on the last lap. Jeffrey Herlings climb from 17th to 10th on his first race in over a month. Meanwhile, Tim Gajser stalled his bike while running fifth and remounted to 12th.

Heading for tomorrow Prado now leds by 100 points over Febvre. Coldenhoff is now on the tail of Fernandez for third by 2 points.

MX2:

Simon Langenfelder grabbed the holeshot and from there he led every lap to take the victory. Sacha Coenen started just behind the German, riding in a solid second place the entire race. Meanwhile, the third spot was a little bit eventful as Jago Geerts climbed from outside the top 5. Adamo stalled his bike early on and finished 6th over Oriol Oliver, who rode the first half of the race in third. Complete the top 10: Camden McLellan, Kevin Horgmo and local hero Emil Weckman. On the other hand, Lucas Coenen DNF after two crashes.

Geerts gained three points over Adamo.
