Uddevalla, Sweden is hosting the 15th round of this 2024 MXGP World Championship and Red-Plate holders Tim Gajser and Kay de Wolf put theyselfs in perfect position for tomorrow’s GP-scoring races, by taking the qualification victory on their respectivy classes.
Gajser started well in second behind holeshot winner Brian Bogers, and then make the move for the lead on lap fourth. Once at front, the HRC rider pull away from the field en route on his seventh qualifying race win.Jorge Prado put some pressure in the final stages but was unable to execute the pass.
The big storyline of the race came in the form of Jeffrey Herlings, as the KTM Red Bull crashed in the first turn. Herlings charged all from behind to seventh, but lost 7 points against Gajser.
As for the MX2 class, Neestan Husqvarna´s Kay de Wolf took another qualifying race win, this time after a fierce battle against Mikkel Haarup.
