  • First Qualy Race win of the season for Liam Everts in MX2

The Monster Energy MXGP of Trentino enjoyed beautiful sunshine for the Qualifying Races today at the “Il Ciclamino” circuit, and already the crowds packed the picturesque slopes to get behind their favourite riders, with many Slovenian and Swiss fans joining the local and not so local pilgrims to this Mecca of Motocross!

The action-packed MXGP Qualifying Race saw a clear win for Kawasaki Racing Team MXGP leader Romain Febvre, although his title rival Tim Gajser limited the damage to his points lead by finishing second for Honda HRC. Jeremy Seewer took a popular third position for the Aruba.it Ducati Factory MX Team on the team’s home soil!

Lucas Coenen was down in the first corner, and fought through to a frustrated 11th, one place outside the points.

Liam Everts moved forward to take his first Qualifying Race win this season for Nestaan Husqvarna Factory Racing, at the venue where he won overall in 2024. Thibault Benistant kept up his good record in Qualifying Races this season with second place for Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MX2, ahead of Red Bull KTM Factory Racing rider Simon Laengenfelder, who closed in on the Championship leader, but is now level on points with Everts!

Camden McLellan make history!

The Sudafrican rider got his first-career holeshot in order to take his first-career race win and the first for Triumph as well. Once at front, Camden led all 18 laps! Kay de Wolf charged from sixth place and passed Andrea Adamo for 2nd with a couple of turns from the checkered flag.

Gajser vs Febvre

Febvre´s streak comes to an end at the opening moto, as Tim Gajser take the win after a long pursuit behind the Frenchman. Febvre got a perfect holeshot and led 14 laps, but the Kawasaki rider made two small mistakes, enough for Gajser to execute the pass.

Febvre tried to respond in the final lap as the set the fastest lap time of the race. He pushed so hard that ended having a small crash. On the other hand, Lucas Coenen rode on a lonely third place.

MX2 RACE 2

Thibault Benistant snatch the win from Adamo´s hand in the last lap. This is the first race win for Benistant, but despite the furstration, Adamo won the overall via 3-2 in motos.

MXGP RACE 2

Tim Gajser dominate the second moto after passing teammate Ruben Fernandez in the opening lap. From there on, he controlled every lap until the checkered flag. Romain Febvre charged from seventh to second, as Glenn Coldenhoff rounded the Top 3. The podium looks the same.
