Red Bull KTM Factory Racing has confirmed that Jorge Prado will not compete in Round 7 of the 2026 AMA Supercross Championship, scheduled for Saturday, February 21, in Arlington, Texas.
The Spanish rider already missed the Main Event in Seattle after crashing during the second qualifying session. Despite the incident, he secured his second consecutive pole position thanks to the fastest lap time set in Q1.
Prado attempted to line up for Heat 2, but persistent pain in his right shoulder forced him to withdraw shortly after the first corner. Initial medical assessments ruled out any major structural damage, and that evaluation remains unchanged. However, the team has decided not to take unnecessary risks and will prioritize his recovery.
“No serious injuries have been detected, but the inflammation and excessive irritation in the right shoulder joint will require more time to heal,” KTM stated in its official update.
Before the injury, Prado was firmly in contention for a top-five position in the championship standings. Following his absence in Seattle, he dropped to tenth overall, and missing Arlington could see him lose further ground in the title race.
