Kawasaki has officially announced the departure of Jorge Prado.
A partnership filled with high expectations that, unfortunately, did not deliver the desired results for either side. After several discussions, both parties have agreed to terminate the contract by mutual consent.
The official statement from the Japanese manufacturer was clear and concise:
“Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A. has reached an agreement for the early release of Jorge Prado from his contract as a Kawasaki rider, effective October 16, 2025. Kawasaki wishes Jorge the best in his future endeavors. Monster Energy® Kawasaki is working hard in preparation for the 2026 SMX™ World Championship and will announce its SuperMotocross team for the 450 and 250 classes in early November. The Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship will kick off on January 10, 2026, at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California.”
Thus ends the short-lived chapter between Jorge Prado and Monster Energy Kawasaki — a key move in the Spanish rider’s future, as he is now expected to return to his roots with Red Bull KTM for the 2026 season.
