Jeffrey Herlings looking to be crowned at the Dutch Masters final in Oldebroek

MXPG Serdegna 2023, Riola Sardo Rider: Herlings

Next Monday 29th the circuit of Oldebroek will receive a strong field of GP riders in the third and final round of the Dutch Masters series. Jeffrey Herlings and Kay de Wolf have the red plate in their respective classes.

The race will be perfect as a sand prep for the next GP in Kegums, Latvia.

Having won the two previous rounds, Herlings is the favorite one to clinch the title. The KTM Red Bull rider has an advantage of 16 points over Romain Febvre while defending champion Calvin Vlaanderen sits in third with a 26 points deficit.

In addition to the title contenders, Oldebroek expects a great day full of actions with the presence of fresh Grand Prix winner Jeremy Seewer. The Monster Energy Yamaha rider managed to win the MXGP of France last weekend and is in the right form. Behind Seewer it was Romain Febvre who finished second in France and he is also at the start in Oldebroek. Febvre`s teammate Mitch Evans will also join behind the gate. The Australian recently back from an injury and is looking to get in form for the next part of the MXGP calendar.

And of course, Brian Bogers, Benoit Paturel , and Brent van Doninck will also want to score high on the wooded circuit of Oldebroek.

All those names suppose a big challenge for privateers Micha-Boy de Waal and Sven Van der Mierden, who currently sits fourth and fifth in the championship standings.

In the MX2 class, Kay de Wolf leads the way with a small margin of seventh points over Rick Elzinga. de Wolf has been very fast in the MX2 championship and now is looking to take his first crown of the year. However, his teammate Roan Van de Moosdijk has a good chance to be crowned as well. He sits third with a margin of 10 points.

EMX250 Championship leader Andrea Bonacorsi has been growing up in confidence and for sure will be a threat, as well as local stars such as Kay Karssemakers and Karlis Albert Reisulis. Unfortunately, Spaniard Oriol Oliver, who showed a top-five speed this year in his appearances in the series, will be out as he heads to Denmark to contest the third round of the ADAC Championship.

On the other hand, Kevin Horgmo and David Braceras from F&H Kawasaki team will take part in this final round. Both have been riding great in the MX2 World Championship and certainly will make things more interesting once the gate drops.
