Progress for Prado, Setback for Anderson Under Monster Energy Kawasaki Tent at Red Bud

It was a weekend of mixed emotions for Monster Energy Kawasaki at RedBud, Round 6 of the AMA Pro Motocross Championship. Jorge Prado showed signs of real progress, while Jason Anderson continues to battle lingering health issues.

Jorge Prado #70 | 7-5 for 6th overall

The reigning MXGP World Champion continues to adapt to AMA competition and the Monster Energy Kawasaki machine. After leading for much of Moto 2, Prado eventually faded to fifth but still walked away with valuable insights and confidence.

“This was a step in the right direction for me,” Prado said. “This week we did a lot of work on the bike, and we will keep building on that. I’ve been riding on the East Coast and testing different things. The team has been very supportive with making all the changes back in California. Being up front today was a very comfortable feeling—it helped me understand the bike more and see where we can still improve. I just need to keep training and testing, and I know we can be on the podium soon.”

Jason Anderson #21 | 10-DNF for 15th ovreall

Anderson’s day was far more difficult. After qualifying 14th, he salvaged 10th in Moto 1 but was forced to retire early in Moto 2 due to ongoing health concerns.

“I didn’t have my best performance today,” Anderson admitted. “I qualified 14th, which is a bit off for me. I started around eighth in Moto 1 and tried to battle, but finished 10th. In Moto 2, I had to pull off early—I wasn’t feeling 100%. I’m still having some health issues. I need to get checked out and see how everything’s going, then we’ll go from there.”
