Jarne Bervoets will race for the Cat Moto Bauerschmidt KTM team in 2027. The young Belgian is switching to KTM after a season with VHR Yamaha and will compete in the EMX250 European Championship for the second consecutive year.

Bervoets’ debut year in EMX250 was marred by several injuries that disrupted his adjustment to the more powerful bike. However, he showed flashes of speed in several rounds, most notably with a sixth-place finish at the Lommel Grand Prix.

Jarne Bervoets: “I’m very excited to start this new chapter with Cat Moto. I’m grateful for this opportunity and can’t wait to see what we can achieve together. I’m looking forward to the future and will give it my all.”

The Belgian rider has been with Yamaha since 2024. He spent his first two seasons in EMX125 before joining VHR Yamaha for his debut in the European 250 Championship in 2026, as part of the factory team. Now that he has joined the German team, Bervoets will also compete in the German ADAC Championship in addition to the EMX250.

Bervoets is the second rider confirmed by the team for next year. It was also confirmed that Australian Liam Owens will continue with Cat Moot Bauerschmidt in the MX2 World Championship.
