Round seven of the Penrite ProMX Championship, presented by AMX Superstores (ProMX), heads to the sunny state of Queensland this weekend, with Toowoomba’s scenic Echo Valley circuit hosting the penultimate round of this year’s campaign.

MX1 PREVIEW

The MX1 class experienced a massive shake-up last week, with series leader Jed Beaton (Vic) bowing out of the remaining two rounds of this year’s championship due to a broken femur sustained in a training incident. The injury marks a significant blow to the Monster Energy CDR Yamaha team, with Beaton holding a 29pt advantage with two races to contest.

This brings defending class champion Kyle Webster (Vic) right back into the thick of the action, alongside KTM Racing Team’s Nathan Crawford (Qld), who trails Boost Mobile Honda’s Webster by 15pts leading into Toowoomba. The fight atop of the Kawasaki MX1 category is well and truly alive, with each rider looking to gain maximum points in Echo Valley.

MX2 PREVIEW

Defending champion and MX2 series leader Brodie Connolly (Vic) has been the rider to beat across the previous three rounds, having claimed five of the last six race wins, and as a result leads the category by 38pts over Monster Energy Yamalube Yamaha’s Ryder Kingsford (NSW). It’ll take a lot to slow the number one down, although Toowoomba provides an opportunity to do so.

The battle for third position in the championship is fierce entering the penultimate round, with KTM Racing Team’s Noah Ferguson (Qld) holding a 1pt advantage over NFAL Honda’s Alex Larwood (SA). A further 14pts back is the second factory KTM of Byron Dennis (NSW), with each rider looking to lay claim to a series podium result in 2025.
