Dutch veteran Glenn Coldenhoff is on a bit of a roll at the moment with very consistent results and podium results. The Monster Energy Yamaha rider seems more than likely to be looking for a new team for 2024 and these results would be helping him get the contract he deserves next year.

Last weekend in Finland, the 32-year-old scored third overall to match his third overall from Lommel the previous week and in the last seven rounds, he has gone 3-3-5-3-4-2-4. The Hoff was more than happy with his performance last weekend.
“Another podium,” Coldenhoff said. “You should always be happy with that. But, at this point, I just want to win. That’s what we are working for. We’re not too far off, so we have planned some testing next week, and we will keep working towards it. There are not too many rounds left now, so I hope to be on top soon. Hopefully, I can make it happen in Sweden already”
As for a contract for 2024, it is quiet on that front and the Yamaha rider hopes his solid performances throughout his career will lead to something he feels will help him remain a serious contender for GP wins and podiums.
“For the moment there is nothing clear there. I am not able to say anything, some teams are interested, but I have heard nothing official from Yamaha, but there is talk of changes and I haven’t spoken to anyone yet. This is the time it starts, but many, many riders and also maybe teams are out of contract, and I think a lot will happen in this time. I am still able to get podiums and I still think I can win, and I have a lot left in me and I want to show that as well.”
Having six Grand Prix victories in his career, five in MXGP and one in MX2, the goal remains the same as when he first started becoming one of the top five men in the world. While he hasn’t won a GP this season yet, he feels it is coming soon.
“Yes, I am still a bit off that, but that is a goal, also to get my first win of the year, that is another goal and then for sure it starts moving in the championship as well.”
Now onto Sweden and a track he has podiumed at in 2022, won at in 2019 and always shown good form, so maybe, next weekend, the MXGP of Sweden brings him that much awaited victory, just to build some momentum for another factory ride in 2024.
