The 24MX Tour riders took to the Castelnau-de-Lévis track for the second round, where Maxime Desprey and Mathis Valin were brilliant by winning their respective classes. The next round will take place on April 21 in Romagné.
GSM Yamaha´s Maxime Desprey sailed another win in the series. This time after a big battle in the opening moto against current champ Valentin Guillod. Both riders were bar to bar from the beginning with Desprey edging the Honda Motoblusz rider. In the second race, Desprey grabbed the holeshot but laps later were passed by teammate Greg Aranda who won his first moto win of the season. Meanwhile, Guillod rode on a solid third. In the end, Desprey won the overall via 1-2 followed by Guillod 2-3 and Aranda 5-1.
As for the standings, Desprey leads the series by 13 points over Guillod.
After grabbing his first podium in the EMX250 class last week in Spain, Mathis Valin showed up in Castelnau full of confidence in his BUD Racing Kawasaki. The former 125cc Junior World Champion took the first moto with a wire-to-wire performance and then finished 4th in the second moto en route to the overall win. His teammate Benjamin Garib also made a great step in the right direction as he finished 2-3 for second overall. His first podium-ever on Europe soil, giving a perfect 1-2 for BUD Racing Kawasaki. Mathys Boisrame rounded the podium with a 6-1. The Husqvarna France rider had a mechanical problem in the opening moto but bounced back in race 2. Boisrame keeps the red plate by 15 points over Garib.
