Round 8 of the AMA Supercross is almost underway! This will be the 50th AMA Supercross race at the historic Daytona Speedway International. Eli Tomac is the favorite one as he won the last six out of seven editions en route to beating Ricky Carmichael’s record. However, Cooper Webb start to put some pressure on the Yamaha Star Racing rider, and after a big win in Arlington, the Red Bull KTM rider is now just 2 points short of Tomac. At the same time, Chase Sexton has been shown great speed but the constant mistakes dropped him to third place in the standings with a 7 points deficit.

On the other hand, RJ Hampshire will be making his 450SX debut, and Dylan Ferrandis is back after a big crash in Houston three weeks ago. Adam Cianciarulo will sit out once again after “aggravating” his wrist on Arlington`s press day.

And speaking of Ferrandis, the Frenchman suffered a big crash yesterday during press day sessions.

The 250 East Coast class promise to be a battle royal with a ton of names that are capable to win this. Hunter Lawrence is the clearly favorite, but not the only one with Motocross skills to dominate the singular Daytona track. Max Anstie, a former GP winner, and two-time MX2 World Champion Tom Vialle have a good shot in this one. Remember, Marvin Musquin’s first-ever supercross win was Daytona in 2013. And what about Jeremy Martin, the former 2016 winner has been on the podium six out of seven times, including a 2d place in his 450SX debut in 2017. Of course, Star Racing boys Haiden Deegan, Nate Thrasher, and Jordon Smith will be there to put thinks even more interesting.

The event will start at 19:00 PM (USA)
