The EMX65 / EMX85 European Championship launched the 2025 season with the first round of the South West Zone in Cremona, Italy. Heavy rain disrupted the regular schedule, leading to the cancellation of Saturday’s qualifying races. However, despite the challenging weather, all races took place smoothly on Sunday.

EMX85
Race 1 saw a fantastic start from French rider Louis Morette (Husqvarna), who held the lead from start to finish. A thrilling battle for the podium unfolded, with multiple overtakes right up to the finish line. In the end, Francesco Assini (GASGAS) snatched second place by just a few centimeters ahead of Tim Lopes (Husqvarna).
In Race 2, Enzo Herzogenrath (KTM) had an outstanding start and, just like Morette in the first heat, secured a commanding victory ahead of a fiercely competitive group. Italian riders dominated the podium, with Tommaso D’Amico (KTM) finishing second and Francesco Assini taking third.

In Race 1, Timotei Cez (KTM) had a strong start, but a mistake on lap 3 dropped the French rider to third. Arthur Annelot (GASGAS) seized the opportunity to take the lead, but a late error on the final lap pushed him down to fifth. Cez staged a remarkable comeback, ultimately clinching victory ahead of Mathys Agullo (KTM) and Brando Danesi (Husqvarna).
Race 2 saw a brilliant start from Agullo, who led from start to finish, securing a confident win. Annelot claimed second place, while Danesi rounded out the podium in third.
