Cooper Webb King of Paris – Tom Vialle Prince

Webb paris sx 24 champ

Never before had Tom Vialle and Cooper Webb managed to add the Paris Supercross to their list of achievements, and now they have! On the podium of the six races of the weekend, Cooper Webb is therefore the new King of Paris, while Tom Vialle is the Prince of Paris 2024.

The public came out in force for two days to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Parisian classic, and it was in a superb atmosphere that the event took place, which saw two new drivers add their names to the event’s list of winners.

While Jett Lawrence, the defending champion, was the most successful of the SX1 riders, winning five of the six finals over the two days, his retirement in one of the races cost him dearly compared to the consistency of Cooper Webb, who was on all the podiums of the weekend. And while Jett managed to make up some of his deficit by winning all three races on Sunday, he only reached the third step of the final podium, beaten by Cooper Webb and Malcom Stewart.

Tied on points with Malcom Stewart on Saturday, Cooper (2/2/3 on Sunday) managed his evening perfectly, doing better than Malcom (3/4/2) to win with a three-point lead over his compatriot.

Hunter Lawrence finished just off the podium, ahead of Dylan Ferrandis, who was forced to retire in the last race of the weekend after a fall at the start, Gregory Aranda and Jordi Tixier.

SX2: TOM VIALLE PRINCE OF PARIS

If Jett Lawrence was unable to make up the deficit this Sunday, Tom Vialle did so to clinch the title in his second appearance in Paris. Runner-up to Jo Shimoda in the first race of the day, Tom won the next two to get back to level on points with Anthony Bourdon and clinch the title thanks to his four wins

Jo Shimoda having been forced to retire in one of the races due to a mechanical problem, it was on an all-French podium – Vialle, Bourdon and Maxime Desprey – that this 40th edition of the Paris Supercross ended.
